That tractor is pretty cool too. Amazing to see such a high resolution scan of such an old photo.

There’s a lot to like in that photo. I’m not sure how Shorpy does it. I think they are scanning from original negatives, and at some ridiculous resolution. I could spend hours at their site if I let myself. Speaking of tractors, here is today’s featured image.

Some of the shots are historic, most are rather mundane. But they open an amazing time portal to the past. I like to look at these amazing hi-res photos and study what’s in the background, because those are the real details of everyday life back in the day.
